Clemson evened its ACC record at 1-1 Saturday afternoon with a 72-56 thumping of Boston College at sold out Littlejohn Coliseum. The Tigers took the lead at 6-4 and never gave it back. They led by 12 at halftime and by as much as 21 in the second half as they improved their overall record to 13-3. The Eagles drop to 10-6 and 1-1.

After a hot shooting first half of 58.6%, the Tigers cooled off considerablly in the second half and finished the game at 44.6%. The Tigers did not score a field goal over the final 8:25 but did make 9 of 12 from the foul line over that stretch. The Tigers also won the rebounding battle 41-34 over the taller Eagles and actually scored more points in the paint, 38-36.

Three Tigers scored in double figures with Trevor Booker leading the way with 19 points. He also had 4 blocks and 2 steals. Demontez Stitt had 15 points, 14 in the first half, to go along with 4 assists. Tanner Smith added 12 points, and Jerai Grant had 9 points and 4 rebounds. Off the bench, Noel Johnson had 7 points and 4 rebounds and Devin Booker grabbed 8 boards.

Clemson is back in action at home Wednesday night at 9:00 against North Carolina on ESPN. The Tigers then hit the road for games at NC State and Georgia Tech before returning home March 23rd to face Duke.
