The hits keep on coming for the Carolina Panthers. Just a day after losing to the Saints the Panthers get the news that they have lost starting linebacker Thomas Davis for the season. The former Georgia Bulldogs star tore his right ACL late in Sunday’s loss. It is a huge blow to the defense because Davis was the team’s second leading tackler and was having what many considered a Pro Bowl season prior to the injury. Landon Johnson will replace him in the lineup.
The Panthers are 3-5 this season. They will return to action this Sunday at home against the Atlanta. The Falcons are 5-3 and won the first matchup between the two teams earlier this season.
