Number 28 will be on the field this weekend. C.J. Spiller said today that he will play Saturday against 14th ranked TCU. Spiller only played in half of last week’s win against Boston College because of turf toe in his right big toe. He was limited in practice Monday but he said the injury is healing and he will be good to go against the Horned Frogs. He added that the toe was bothering him more last week than it is this week. He suffered the injury in the season opener against Middle Tennessee.

Spiller only needs 291 more all-purpose yards to become the ACC’s all time leader He is needs 12 receiving yards to reach 1,000 for his career. When he hits that mark he will be the only running back in school history to have over 1,000 receiving yards. Spiller needs 55 kickoff return yards to pass Derrick Hamilton has the school’s all-time leading kick returning. Hamilton finished his career with 1552 return yards.
