Former USC and Clemson assistant Miles Aldridge has been named the new head football coach at Mullins High School. Aldridge has had many coaching stops on the college level, including stints at Duke, NC State, Ole Miss and most recently UCF. He also had a brief stop in the NFL as the Bills linebackers coach from 2001-2003.
He was Clemson’s defensive coordinator for eight seasons. He was a part of seven bowl teams and three ACC titles with the Tigers. He also served as the defensive coordinator at USC.
Aldridge replaces former coach Ron Lanham, whose contract was not renewed after last season. Aldridge is the third coach in four years for the Auctioneers.
Aldridge is a native of Columbia and a 1971 graduate of Gardner-Webb.
