Greenville native and former Clemson star Lucas Glover stands 17 holes from golf immortality this morning. Glover will be tied for the lead with Ricky Barnes when round four of the US Open resumes this morning at 900 at Bethpage Black on Long Island.
Glover and Barnes are the final pairing of the round and they got thru the first hole before darkness forced them off the course. Glover parred the hole, Barnes bogeyed. They both stand at seven under par.
Four golfers are five off the pace starting today’s round…David Duval, Ross Fisher, Hunter Mahan and Phil Mickleson. Mike Wier stands along at one under par while the group at even par is led by Tiger Woods who shot a 68 in round three and thru seven holes of the fourth round is one under par.
Also at even par are Bubba Watson, Graham McDowell, Soren Hansen and Retief Goosen. Coastal Carolina’s Dustin Johnson is at six over par, and Clemson’s Kyle Stanley is plus eight.
