USC starting left fielder DeAngelo Mack is questionable for the tonight’s SEC tournament game against Alabama. Carolina coach Ray Tanner says Mack has been dealing with shin splint. That injury is making it difficult for the junior slugger to play in the outfield, especially the spacious outfield at Regions Park in Hoover. If Mack can’t start in the field Tanner is hoping he can at least DH. The shin splint has been bother Mack for the past couple of weeks. Tanner says it will be a game time decision on whether on not Mack starts in the outfield, is the DH or if he even plays at all.
