The holiday spending spree by South Carolina’s football management team continues with a third big announcement for the week coming on Christmas afternoon. Wide receiver Nyck Harbor published a video on social media stating that he will be back in a Gamecock uniform in 2026.
Harbor gives the Gamecocks a sweep of their big three from a negotiations standpoint. Earlier in the week, quarterback LaNorris Sellers and defensive end Dylan Stewart announced that they, too, will be back in ’26.
Harbor, the one-time Olympic sprint hopeful, had his best season with the Gamecocks in 2025 as he displayed some of the natural talent that will likely make him a high NFL Draft pick. He also improved his route running and catching skills under the tutelage of receivers coach Mike Furrey.
This season Harbor set career highs with 30 catches, 618 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Harbor showed off his big play potential by averaging 20.6 yards per catch, sixth best in the nation and third best in Gamecock history.
In his three year career, Harbor has 68 catches for 1189 yards and 10 touchdowns.
