
After gaining a commitment Saturday from a big man, USC basketball coach Lamont Paris on Sunday addressed his backcourt needs with a commitment from 6-6 Treysen Eaglestaff. The North Dakota transfer announced a commitment to the Gamecocks on Sunday morning after completing an official visit.
Eaglestaff was regarded as one of the top prospects in the portal after three seasons at North Dakota. He also drew interest from Kansas, Kentucky, Gonzaga, Alabama, Colorado, Michigan, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, UCLA and others.
The Bismarck native played in 87 games at North Dakota and averaged nearly 15 points per game. He shot 42% from the floor, 37% from three and 77% from the line. He scored 40 points against Alabama this season, and he set his career high with 51 points against South Dakota.
