The Wofford Terriers lost their first nine games in the 2023 season. They finished with two straight wins over The Citadel and Furman. Never has 2-9 felt so good to a fanbase. At least the Terriers could enjoy offseason bragging rights over their two biggest rivals.
Coach Shaun Watson is going into his second full season as head coach and he’s expecting much more this season. The offense has got to be improved after averaging just 14 points per game last season. The defense was forced to play a lot of snaps and held up pretty well to the tune of 25 points per game and should be a strength in 2024.
Deciding on a quarterback will be crucial as the Terriers prepare for their opener August 29th at Gardner-Webb. The competition in camp continues among three contenders.
