USC stayed unbeaten in the month of November and kept alive their bowl hopes Saturday night in Columbia with 17-14 win over Kentucky. The Gamecocks scored a fourth quarter touchdown to take the lead and then kept the Wildcats off the scoreboard on their final three possessions by forcing a punt, recovering a fumble and getting a stop on downs.

The Gamecocks are 5-6 overall and finish their SEC schedule at 3-5. They will host Clemson next Saturday night and will need a win to guarantee themselves a place in the bowl schedule.

Following the game, head coach Shane Beamer along with safety Nick Emmanwori, defensive tackle Tonka Hemingway, quarterback Spencer Rattler and receiver Xavier Legette met with the media.
