#STRecruiting Notebook 11-17

The father of 2025 QB Ryan Montgomery of Findlay, OH confirmed Thursday they will make another visit to USC in January on a date to be determined. They plan to make 2-3 visits that month, with the other stops still to be determined. After those January visits, they’ll be ready to make their commitment. This season they have visited USC, Florida, Auburn and Penn State for games. This season Montgomery completed over 70% of his passes for over 3300 yards with 38 touchdowns and ten touchdowns rushing.

OT Andrew Dennis of Mount Pleasant, MI will take an official visit to Clemson this weekend. He’s a former Michigan State commitment. He made an official visit to Penn State last weekend and is scheduled to visit Illinois and Purdue respectively the following two weekends.

Strom Thurmond WR Braylon Staley, a Tennessee commitment, plans to visit the Vols again this weekend. USC has continued to recruit him but have not gotten him in for a visit this season.

2026 CB J’Zavien Currence of South Pointe plans to visit Ohio State this weekend.

Former USC SAF Cameron Upshaw, now at Garden City JC, KS, was offered by Charlotte. Upshaw, who was suspended from the team and school in January for his part in a weapon being on campus, said he’s heard nothing more from the Gamecocks, so he’s moving on to other opportunities.

Riverside DT Marcus Downs was offered by Memphis. He’s a former Georgia Tech commitment.

2025 CB Onis Konanbanny of Heathwood Hall plans to visit Tennessee Saturday. He’s coming off a visit to North Carolina.

Clemson target 2026 DE Tyler Atkinson of Loganville, GA plans to visit Tennessee this weekend.

6-7 Julen Iturbe of Riverside signed with American University.
