Clemson unleashed the defense on Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon and got several big plays on the offensive side in their 42-21 victory, their ninth in a row over the Yellow Jackets. The Tigers held Tech to 100 yards of offense before clearing their bench in the fourth quarter when Tech scored a pair of touchdowns.
The Tigers had four interceptions, four sacks and 11 tackles for loss.
Offensively, the six touchdowns were divided among six different players. There were four touchdown passes to four different receivers by Cade Klubnik, one rushing touchdown by Will Shipley and one pick-six by Shelton Lewis.
The Tigers clinched a bowl bid by winning their sixth game. They are 6-4 overall and 3-4 in the ACC. They will close out their home scheduled next Saturday against North Carolina with a 3:30 kickoff.
It was a happy bunch of Tigers who met with the media following the win, none more than head coach Dabo Swinney.
