Outside of the passing connection of Spencer Rattler to Xavier Legette, the USC offense is wanting in a number of areas. Among the national rankings, the Gamecocks are 81st in scoring, 128th in tackles for loss allowed and sacks allowed, 124th in rushing and 97th in time of possession. The one part of the offense which has been elite is Rattler to Legette. Rattler is 18th in passing yards per game and Legette is 4th in receiving yards per game.

Speaking with the media Wednesday, offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains was blunt in his assessment. The 2-3 record states exactly where they are as a team coming off their bye week. His goal during the off week was to work on those areas of weakness and present Florida this Saturday with an offense featuring a greater variety of playmakers.
