#STRecruiting Notebook 10-6

The Clemson basketball team will have an official visit from 2025 6-4 Isaiah Henry of Concord, NC this weekend per Jamie Shaw of On3. Henry is the brother of former Tigers star defensive end KJ Henry. This will be his first official visit. His offer list also includes Mississippi State, Georgia, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, East Carolina, Temple and High Point.

Clemson is in the top eight with 2025 CB Dylan Lewis (6-1 180) of Alpharetta, GA. The others are NC State, Tennessee, North Carolina, LSU, Auburn, UCF and Kentucky. He indicated a commitment announcement would be coming soon. Lewis visited Clemson for the Florida State game. He’s also been to games at LSU and Tennessee, and he made summer stops at Auburn and Tennessee.

Reporter Jeff Ermann of Inside Maryland Sports wrote this morning the Terps are working diligently to turn USC commitment CB Brayden Lee from his commitment. Lee is from Upper Marlboro, MD and Ermann reports he’s visited nearby College Park several times since committing in April. In Ermann’s words, Lee “seems to be coming around” as it relates to Maryland. Lee is expected back at USC for the Florida game.

USC RB target Daniel Hill of Meridian, MS has rushed for 929 yards thus far this season, averaging 7.2 yards per carry, and he’s accounted for 14 touchdowns. USC, Alabama and Tennessee are his top three at this point. He took an official visit to Tennessee last weekend for the USC game. He took his official visits to USC and Alabama in the summer. He has been back to Alabama multiple times since then. He has not been back to USC since the official visit.

Auburn OC Philip Montgomery was by Findlay, OH Thursday to check in on 2025 QB Ryan Montgomery who is also a target of USC. Montgomery will visit the Gamecocks next week for the Florida game, and he plans to visit Auburn at the end of the month.

Clemson target 2025 CB Blake Woodby of Baltimore will visit Ohio State this weekend. He has set October 14th for his commitment announcement. He’s had a top 12 since August of Clemson, Ohio State, Maryland, Rutgers, Notre Dame, Oregon, Alabama, Miami, Tennessee, Arizona State, Boston College and Stanford. He visited Clemson in early April.

USC offered 2027 WR Kasir Patterson (6-3 173) of Virginia Beach. He also has offers from Virginia Tech and Duke.

2025 RB Marquise Henderson of Belton-Honea Path was offered by West Virginia. He plans to visit Clemson Saturday, and he was at USC for a game earlier in the season.

2025 Sumter DE Anthony Addison was offered by Old Dominion.

Wilson DB Brycen Scott committed to Elon.

2025 Lake City DT Amare Adams will visit Florida State this weekend.

Calhoun County WR Christian Zachary, who decommitted from Virginia earlier in the week, committed to NC State on Thursday.

Per Wes Mitchell of Gamecock Central, one-time USC DE Monteque Rhames plans to enroll in January at Coffeyville JC, KS if he is healthy enough to do so.

2026 DB Jontavius Wyman of Statesboro, GA picked up an offer from USC.

2025 WR Malik Clark of Rock Hill was offered by East Carolina.

2026 Dillon QB Josiah Oxendine visited Duke Saturday and will visit Florida State this weekend. 

LHP Jackson Soucie of Wabash Valley JC committed to USC. He’s a native of Cambridge, ONT and was originally committed to Oregon. Wabash finished 2nd in the JC World Series last June. Last season he appeared in 10 games with 3 starts and worked 25 innings with 37 strikeouts and 14 walks, an ERA of 5.04.

LHP Kemper Nix of Spartanburg Methodist JC announced a commitment to USC.  He’s a Spartan High grad. He started 5 games last season and made 9 appearances; he was 1-1 with a 4.56 ERA.

USC women are in the top 10 with 2025 PG Aaliyah Chavez of Lubbock, TX. The others are Texas Tech, Southern Cal, Arizona, Oklahoma, Ohio State, LSU, UCLA, Texas and Tennessee. She’s on pace to score over 4000 points in her career.
