DE Drew Tuazama (6-6 263) is a grad transfer from UAB in the Portal, there’s been talk of #Gamecocks adding another DE before this season, he is followed by Shane Beamer and other USC coaches on X. Tuazama is a native of Raleigh. He began his career at Syracuse and after two seasons transferred to East Mississippi JC before landing at UAB last season. He had 33 tackles with 6 tackles for loss and 5 sacks last season. He has picked up recent offers from Indiana, Colorado and Mississippi State.

OT Jordan Seaton (6-5 287) of IMG Academy has set an official with USC for November 18th according to a story by BamaOnline. Seaton is a native of Washington, DC, an area where the Gamecocks have done major work the last couple of years. Seaton made an official visit to Alabama in June and plans a return visit for the Tennessee game on October 21st. . He also has official visits dates set with LSU September 9th, Florida September 16th, Ohio State October 7th and Oregon November 10th. He told the website he’s also looking at Maryland and Oklahoma for possible official visits.

USC is in the top 13 with 2025 SAF DJ Pickett of Zephyrhills, FL. The others are Florida State, Florida, Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan, Texas, LSU, Oregon, Penn State, Texas A&M, Alabama, and Miami.

2025 DE Anthony Addison of Sumter was offered by Cincinnati. That’s his first Division One offer.

USC women’s coach Dawn Staley Saturday publicly landed her first commitment for the 2024 class in 5-5 Madisen McDaniel of Upper Marlboro, MD. McDaniel apparently made her decision in mid-July as 94 Feet WBB posted on X July 19th that McDaniel would be committing to Staley. McDaniel is regarded as one of the top prospects in the class and was the Maryland Player of the Year last season. She has come back from a torn ACL on which she had surgery in March of 2021. Last season she averaged 19 points and 5 assists per game. Tennessee and Georgia were the other top schools on her list.

Clemson is one of the top eight with 6-7 Micah Smith of Tyrone, GA. The others are Bradley, Florida Gulf Coast, James Madison, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Mississippi State and Western Kentucky.

2024 RHP Cole Greer (6-0 195) of Berkeley has committed to USC.

Following the Palmetto Games, Oceanside Collegiate 2024 OF David Ketterman made a commitment to play baseball at The College of Charleston per Diamond Prospects.
