Normally, at this time of year, the only focus is preseason football practice. However, that’s been overshadowed the past couple of weeks by conference expansion news out of the Big 10, Big 12, and Pac-12. Is the ACC next to follow? If so, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney is not all that concerned about it.
“I have zero thoughts about it,” Swinney said on Wednesday evening when asked about expansion. “I know that’s definitely a question you gotta ask. But that’s what administrators do. I have zero thoughts and concerns about that.”
Swinney talked to the media following Clemson’s workout on Wednesday. The Tigers’ head coach also discussed some of the competition battles going on through the early portion of camp, as well as bragging about some of the young talent on this year’s roster.
