#ACCKickoff: Florida State coach Mike Norvell (AUDIO)

Mike Norvell and the Seminoles bring a six-game winning streak into 2023 (Nell Redmond/ACC)

Florida State brings plenty of momentum into 2023 after closing out last season with six consecutive wins to secure a 10-3 final record. Among those ten wins were victories over LSU, Florida and Oklahoma.

The Seminoles return seven starters and more than 80% of the production from an offensive unit that averaged 36.1 points/game. Among those returning are quarterback Travis Jordan, four of the team’s five leading rushers and seven of its top 10 receivers. After struggling in the trenches for a number of seasons, FSU has improved drastically along the offensive line and brings a deep and talented group into 2023.

A pair of South Carolina transfers figure to play roles for FSU. Tight end Jaheim Bell and defensive end Gilber Edmond are both in the mix for starting positions in Tallahassee.

For the second consecutive season, Florida State will open against LSU and the annual showdown with Clemson is scheduled for Sept. 23.
