Georgia Tech’s 2022 season is difficult to summarize. It started with a lowlight, a 41-10 drubbing at the hands of Clemson. Geoff Collins was relieved his duties three games later, ushering in the “Brent Key era.” Key’s promotion paid immediate dividends with consecutive conference victories over Pittsburgh and Duke in his first two games as head coach.
The Yellow Jackets won four of eight under Key including a pair of wins over ranked opponents. But if Georgia Tech is to build on the momentum from last season, they’ll have to get production from some new faces. The Jackets return just four offensive starters and five on defense.
Georgia Tech will jump right into ACC play with a matchup against Louisville Sept. 1. The Yellow Jackets face their most difficult stretch from late October to early November with contests against UNC, Virginia and Clemson.
