Adams did not make an official visit to USC, though he made unofficial visits in May and early June. He did take an official visit to Virginia Tech in late June. That’s when the Hokies began to turn sentiment in their direction. Adams said this week Virginia Tech coach Brent Pry did a real good job of selling family to him in Blacksburg. The Gamecocks have one committed receiver for the 2024 class in Mazeo Bennett. Next on their radar for the position is Jonathan Paylor of Burlington, NC. He’s set to announce on June 28th with NC State the other school under consideration.

Friday RB Braylen Russell of Benton, AR will reveal his choice of USC, Tennessee or Arkansas. Saturday cornerback Ashton Hampton of Tallahassee will make his choice known from his final list of Clemson, Florida State, Arkansas, LSU, Florida and Miami.

Another Clemson offensive line target for the 2024 recruiting class committed elsewhere on Wednesday night. Casey Poe opted for Alabama over Clemson and several others on his short list including Auburn, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, LSU and Georgia. Clemson has just one commitment from the 12 offensive linemen they have offered and pursued this recruiting season. They have one more outstanding offer at this point, and that’s to Jameson Riggs of Hiram, GA. He made official visits last month to Clemson, Auburn and Georgia Tech. He has not given a date on a decision.

Per his dad, 2025 QB Ryan Montgomery plans to make an unofficial visit to USC for the Florida game October 14th. He also plans to visit Florida for the Tennessee game. Other visits for the season will be determined later.

2026 QB Julian Lewis of Carrollton, GA, who had an offer from USC, named a top eight of Oregon, Southern Cal, LSU, Ohio State, Florida State, Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia.
