Another of the offensive linemen Clemson has been pursuing is headed elsewhere. OT Fletcher Westphal (6-8 330) of Leesburg, VA announced a commitment to Florida late Monday morning. He had narrowed his list to Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Auburn and Arkansas. He took his official visit to Clemson on June 2nd. The Tigers have one offensive lineman committed for the 2024 class in Ronan O’Connell. Eight other offensive linemen offered by Clemson have committed to other programs. The Tigers also have offers out to OT Casey Poe who announces on Wednesday and OT Jameson Riggs who has not set a commitment date.

2025 DE Isaiah Campbell (6-5 265) of Durham named his top ten of Clemson, Alabama, Notre Dame, NC State, North Carolina, LSU, Duke, Oklahoma, Penn State and Miami. Campbell camped at Clemson this summer and in 2022. He also visited Clemson unofficially for a spring practice in early April.

CB Troy Stevenson of Phillip Simmons Sunday afternoon announced a commitment to Georgia Tech. He also had Virginia Tech, Miami, Tennessee and Kentucky on his short list.

USC target SAF Kaj Sanders committed to Rutgers. He took an official visit to USC last month.

DT D’Antre Robinson (6-4 275) has USC in his top 10 and has set July 21st for his commitment announcement. The others on his list are Alabama, Maryland, Texas, Georgia, LSU, Colorado, Ohio State, Florida and Texas A&M. Robinson made an unofficial visit to USC in late May and his June official visits were to Alabama, Texas and Florida. He also visited Ohio State unofficially.

2023 RHP Joey Wittig (5-11 180) of San Diego announced a commitment to USC on Sunday afternoon. He had been committed to Air Force. Last season he was 7-3 with a 1.75 ERA. He had 94 strikeouts in 64 innings. Wittig also hit .371 with 6 homers and 36 RBIs per Max Preps.

Former North Carolina OF Tyler Causey (6-6 210), who prepped at Nation Ford, announced a transfer to USC Saturday. Causey was at UNC from 2020-22 and played in 42 games. He missed all of last season with injuries. A left-handed hitter, Causey batted .254 with 3 homers and 14 RBIs in his career.

USC baseball landed Canisius transfer 6-2 RHP Matt Duffy. The Canadian had 14 starts this season and was 6-3 with a 4.32 ERA. He struck out 124 in 83.1 innings. Duffy was named the MAAC Pitcher of the Year, and he also was named the Male Athlete of the Year at Canisus. He’s the program’s all-time leader in strikeouts with 278. For his career with the Griffins Duffy was 17-5 with a 3.86 ERA. He struck out 278 in 214.1 innings. Teams batted .217 against him.
