Another top target for Clemson has set a date for his commitment announcement. OT Fletcher Westphal of Leesburg, VA will announce his choice on July 10th. He will make his decision from Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas and Florida. He made his official visit to Clemson the first weekend of June. He also visited the Tigers in April and in 2022.

WR Alex Taylor, who has had July 29th for his commitment date, is down to Clemson, NC State, Penn State, North Carolina and Virginia Tech. He cut Tennessee and Cincinnati from his previous short list. Clemson has two committed receivers and is waiting on a decision from a third, Mike Matthews, so the Tigers have not been pushing for Taylor since his official visit in early June.
WR Joseph McVay, who had an offer from USC but did not visit, committed to Vanderbilt.
USC women’s PG Talaysia Cooper has put her name in the NCAA Transfer Portal. Cooper was a highly recruited player out of East Clarendon but was behind veteran guards at USC last season and saw limited playing time.
College Baseball Central reported Clemson transfer Billy Amick started an official visit to Tennessee on Wednesday.
John Whittle of TheBigSpur reported USC has had or will have official visits this week from transfers RHP Jordan Little of East Carolina, LHP Dominic Niman of Central Connecticut State, LHP Jake Fitzgibbons of Tennessee and 2B Jevon Hernandez of Jacksonville State.
Per Rudy Jones of Palmetto Baseball, senior infielder Joseph Mershon of College of Charleston is transferring to Ohio State.
