The second commitment to come from Clemson’s major recruiting weekend came forward at Noon Tuesday. WR TJ Moore (6-3 190) of Tampa announced his commitment to the Tigers on the heels of his official visit last weekend. His announcement followed that of LB Sammy Brown’s on Monday.
Moore becomes the first receiver commitment for the class and the ninth overall.
At one point during his recruitment, Moore stated Florida as his leader, but Clemson was never out of the picture. He was scheduled for an official visit to Florida this coming weekend but cancelled that in lieu of his commitment.
He also had on his last published short list Georgia, Ohio State, Texas A&M, LSU, Auburn, Penn State, Colorado, Tennessee, Southern Cal, Michigan and Pitt.
Moore previously visited Clemson for a game last November. This spring he made stops at Texas, Texas A&M, Miami and Florida.
Last season Moore had 45 catches for 1169 yards and 20 touchdowns, and he accounted for 1570 all-purpose yards.
