Spring Football Practice Report: Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (AUDIO) #CCU

QB Grayson McCall is back for another season with the Chanticleers (Tiffany Henry/CCU Football)

The Coastal Carolina football team wrapped up spring practice without getting a chance to showcase its talents in front of the CCU faithful. The Chanticleers were forced to cancel their spring game on April 8th due to bad weather in Conway. However, first-year head coach Tim Beck says that wasn’t a problem because he liked the amount of work that his team got done from the tail end of February through the early portion of April.

Beck, who was a guest on SportsTalk recently, was awfully coy when asked about the construction of his team’s new offense. He joked that UCLA head coach Chip Kelly may be tuning in, and he didn’t want to give the Bruins any piece of his game plan prior to their matchup on September 2nd in Pasadena, California. He also elaborated on what it means to have Grayson McCall back to engineer his offense and what challenges the Sun Belt will present his team this fall.
