Founders Park: Dylan Brewer and Gavin Casas connected for two-runs homers in the sixth and seventh innings respectively as USC broke a 4-4 tie with Charleston Southern on their way to a 10-4 victory at Founders Park in Columbia. The Gamecocks capped their late game rally with two runs in the eighth to snap a two-game losing streak.

Both teams put four runs on the board in the first two innings. After scoring their three runs in the second, the Buccaneers were shutout from there. They had six hits in the first two innings and just one the rest of the way.

Eli Jerzembeck had a shaky start for the Gamecocks, allowing all four runs and six hits over the first two innings. The bullpen did their job with Dylan Eskew, Nick Proctor and Cade Austin pitching the final nine innings. They combined on a one hitter with nine strikeouts and two walks. The defense played errorless ball behind them. Proctor earned the win to improve to 3-0.

Cole Messina led the 10-hit USC attack with three hits. Talmadge LeCroy had two hits and two RBIs, and Casas drove in four.

The Gamecocks are 31-6 and will host Florida for a three-game series starting Thursday night.
