#STRecruiting Notebook 4-17 (UPDATED Monday PM)

LB Zavier Hamilton (6-2 222) of Navarre, FL named a top four of USC, Auburn, Kansas and Florida State. From his previous short list he cut Notre Dame, UCF, Georgia, Arkansas, Michigan State and LSU. Hamilton visited USC April 1st. He’s also visited Kansas and Florida State this spring. He was at Auburn for a junior day in January. He also visited the Gamecocks in the spring of 2022. Hamilton plans to take his official visits with his four finalists.

RB Braylen Russell (6-1 225) of Benton, AR has USC in his top five along with Baylor, Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas A&M. Cut from his previous short list were Kansas State, Kansas, Purdue, Ole Miss and Cincinnati. New USC offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains recruited Russell while at Arkansas and the two have remained in contact. He was at Arkansas Saturday, and he visited Tennessee April 1st.

Spring games at USC and Clemson Saturday attracted a large number of prospects to both locations.

USC target WR Parker Livingstone has scheduled an official visits with USC for June 2nd and with Texas for June 23rd.

One-time Clemson target OT Blake Frazier committed to Michigan.

USC offered DT Nnamdi Ogboko (6-5 320) of Durham, NC and WR/CB Justin Denson (6-2 185) of Providence, RI.

USC offered 2025 OL Javon McFadden (6-5 300) of Washington, DC. He was in for the spring game Saturday. Some other offers are Georgia, Charlotte, Penn State, Maryland, Ole Miss, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Miami, Rutgers and Pitt.

Auburn transfer LB Desmond Tisdol (6-0 236) said he would have interest in USC and Clemson this time around, but he’s not had contact with either since entering the Portal. The Gamecocks were heavily involved with Tisdol in 2019 before he signed with Auburn.

Calhoun Country WR Christian Zachary was offered by Cincinnati and Wofford.

Cardinal Newman RB Cortez Lane was offered by MTSU.

Greenville High 2025 OT Hunter Taylor was offered by Charlotte.

Basketball News:

6-8 Wofford transfer BJ Mack will be visiting Iowa this week. He has visited LSU and Alabama and plans to visit USC this month.

Dayton transfer 6-10 Mustapha Amzil, who has taken an official visit to USC along with Memphis and New Mexico, was at Miami over the weekend.

NC State transfer 6-8 Jack Clark will announce at Noon Tuesday with Clemson, Arkansas, Xavier and Villanova the finalists.

Former Clemson forward Ben Middlebrooks visited NC State and Auburn over the weekend.

Transfer Coastal Carolina guard Seth Dawson is headed to Central Washington.

Charleston Southern transfer guard Tyeree Bryan is headed to Santa Clara.

6-10 Brandon Crawford of Irmo plans to reclassify to the 2024 class and play next season for Link Academy in Branson, MO.
