#Clemson clubs Notre Dame 5-1 to even series (AUDIO)

Clemson starter Austin Gordon baffled Notre Dame at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, shutting the Irish out for 6.1 innings as the Tigers evened the series with a 5-1 victory, Saturday.

Notre Dame (18-14, 8-9) had no answer for Gordon (1-3) as the righthander scattered four hits while the Tigers built an insurmountable lead on the day Jack Leggett was honored with the retiring his no. 7 jersey. Leggett led Clemson to six College World Series appearances and 1,332 victories while head coach of the Tigers.

Billy Amick hit his fourth home run and Cam Cannarella (.417) and Cooper Ingle added RBI doubles in the victory.

Clemson (21-16, 5-9) will go for their second consecutive conference series win at 1 p.m., Sunday.
