USC football coach Shane Beamer addressed the media Tuesday afternoon following the team’s seventh practice of the spring. Beamer said the team has avoided major injuries to this point. They are dealing with the typical bumps and bruises as they cross the halfway point of spring practice.
Freshman linebacker Pup Howard returned to practice Tuesday after being out with a hamstring. Beamer also confirmed the hiring of former Panthers quarterbacks coach Sean Ryan as an offensive analyst.
The Gamecocks will practice again Thursday then stage their first major scrimmage of the spring on Saturday. Beamer will also hold his ladies clinic that day.
