Coming off their best ACC regular season ever, the Clemson basketball team has a few extra days to get ready for the league tournament in Greensboro. As the #3 seed, the Tigers get to skip the play-in games on Tuesday and the first round games on Wednesday and skip right to the quarterfinals on Thursday.

The Tigers are set to play in the final game of the day on Thursday and will face the winner from the NC State game Wednesday. The Wolfpack will play either Virginia Tech or Notre Dame in the first round.

Tiger coach Brad Brownell met with the media Monday afternoon and opened his comments with the news that guard Alex Hemenway will miss the tournament after having an emergency appendectomy Monday morning. Hemenway was honored on Senior Night Saturday. He’s missed a good bit of the season with a foot issue and had just recently returned to game action.
