It appears we have a date for a commitment announcement from Greenville High OG Blake Franks. Greenville High coach Greg Porter said Tuesday that Franks is looking at February 20th for his commitment announcement. That’s his mom’s birthday. Also, Coach Porter believes Franks has made his decision between USC and Clemson, with Auburn a third option. Franks made visits to all three schools in January. One of the big factors in his decision, maybe the biggest, was the engineering program at each school.
USC is in the top nine with DE Booker Pickett (6-4 205) of Tampa. He’s recorded 52 sacks the last two seasons. The others on the list are Southern Cal, Louisville, Tennessee, Penn State, Florida State, Miami, Georgia and Ohio State.
USC is in the top 15 with TE/DE Kylan Fox of Loganville, GA. The others on his short list are Florida State, Tennessee, Colorado, Miami, Louisville, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Cincinnati, Stanford, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Florida, Ohio State and Alabama.
USC is in the top 10 with LB Zavier Hamilton of Navarre, FL. The others are Georgia, Arkansas, Kansas, Michigan State, UCF, Florida State, Auburn, LSU and Notre Dame.
RB Braylen Russell of Benton, AR has USC in his top 10 along with Ole Miss, Purdue, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Kansas State, Cincinnati, Kansas and Tennessee.
Clemson target CB Ashton Hampton was offered by Tennessee and Purdue.
OT Gemyel Allen of Buford, GA, who had an offer from USC, named a top five of NC State, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Duke and Virginia.
USC target SAF Kamron Mikell was offered by Auburn.
USC target WR Courtney Crutchfield was offered by Auburn.
USC target TE Caleb Odom was offered by Virginia.
USC offered 2025 CB Shamari Earls (6-2 180) of Chester, VA.
Per 247Sports, WR Amari Jefferson plans to visit Clemson March 18th. He also plans to visit Alabama and Georgia in March and is looking at possible trips to Tennessee and Colorado. He visited #Gamecocks in January.
Clemson target OT Daniel Calhoun told On3 he will take official visits to Georgia June 3rd and Alabama June 10th. He also has in his top 10 Oklahoma, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas and LSU.
Clemson target DE Solomon Williams was offered by Notre Dame.
West Florence SAF Kelvin Hunter was offered by Auburn.
Riverside DT Marcus Downs was offered by Miami.
Sumter DT Calvin Harvin committed to Kentucky Christian.
