When asked to put his opening week emotions into perspective, Clemson head baseball coach Erik Bakich says he feels like a parent right around Christmas.
“You’re excited to watch the kids tear open the presents under the tree,” the Tigers’ first-year boss told reporters on Tuesday. “That’s kind of the same feeling. Just the anticipation of something awesome. We’re ready. The hay is in the barn.”
Bakich clearly likes the work his team has put in as it prepares to host Binghamton this weekend to open the season. He is also impressed with the depth his roster features on both the mound and in the field.
