#STRecruiting: Signing Day Notebook

Long time USC commitment DE Zavion Hardy (6-6 240) of Macon, GA finalized his future plans Wednesday by signing with East Mississippi JC. Hardy committed to the Gamecocks last August and stuck with that commitment, though his academic situation prevented him from signing in December and today. But he posted on Twitter Tuesday night he eventually plans to get to Columbia. “You know we still locked in but unfortunately I ran into some academic trouble from my earlier years in high school and it caught up with me. With that being said, I have to attend JUCO. I will return December 2024. GAMECOCK NATION ALL LOVE.” Hardy will play two seasons at EMCC, the same school attended by current USC defensive tackle Elijah Davis.
