Three transfer prospects are scheduled for official visits to USC this weekend. According to Hale McGranahan of TheBigSpur.com, the three are WR Eddie Lewis (6-1 190) of Memphis, WR Malik McClain (6-4 201) of Florida State and RB Dillon Johnson (6-0 192) of Mississippi State.
Lewis was the Tigers’ leading receiver this season. In two seasons there he caught 62 passes for 945 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’s a native of Middletown, NJ who signed with Rutgers in February of 2017 and enrolled there in January of 2018. But he left and transferred to Butler JC, KS. After two seasons there, he signed with Memphis for the 2021 season.
McClain is from Daphne, AL and attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. He signed with the Seminoles in December of 2020 and enrolled that January. He also had offers from Alabama, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Penn State, Texas A&M and Kentucky. In two seasons at FSU, he caught 33 passes for 596 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Johnson is a native of Greenville, MS who also had offers from Ole Miss, Arkansas and Oregon in high school. In three seasons with the Bulldogs, he rushed for 1198 yards (5.2 p/c) and 11 touchdowns. He committed to transfer to Washington on January 3rd.
Alabama offered 2024 Aiken WR Bray Staley on Thursday. This came a day after Clemson offered. Staley will visit Georgia Tech Saturday.
USC target WR Elijah Caldwell is scheduled for an official visit to NC State this weekend. He’s expected to visit the Gamecocks this month before making his decision.
CB Emanuel Brown of Georgia Military JC and Brookland-Cayce plans to visit USC January 21st. He’s a May graduate with 3 years to play.
USC apparently has interest in Memphis transfer WR Eddie Lewis. His name entered the portal Wednesday and several USC coaches, including receivers coach Justin Stepp, are now following him.
USC offered CB Kaj Sanders (6-1 175) of Oradell, NJ.
USC offered LB Payton Pierce (6-2 240) of Lucas, TX.
DT Malik Blocton of Pike Road, AL will visit Auburn January 16th, Florida January 21st and Clemson January 28th.
Greenville WR Mazeo Bennett will visit Alabama this weekend. He also has Florida State on the 28th.
WR Sincere Brown of USF and First Baptist is transferring.
West Florence SAF Kelvin Hunter was offered by Michigan.
Northwestern RB Turbo Richard was offered by Liberty.
