Two #Clemson defensive lineman declare for the Tigers for another season; a third is leaving

Clemson defensive tackles Tyler Davis and Ruke Orhorhoro announced Friday within minutes of one another that they will return to the Tigers for the 2023 season and not enter the NFL Draft. However, reserve defensive tackle Etinosa Reuben reportedly has put his name in the NCAA Transfer Portal.

The announcements by Davis and Orhorhoro, along with those earlier in the week by DE Xavier Thomas, SAF Jalyn Phillips and CB Sheridan Jones, puts the Tigers defense on the plus side of the roster revolving door since the end of the season. Their return will help to offset the departures of defensive ends Myle Murphy and KJ Henry, DT Bryan Bresee and LB Trenton Simpson.

Davis earned first team All ACC honors and second team All American honors this season. He was a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award and was voted a team captain. He finished the season with 31 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.

Orhorhoro was a third team All-ACC choice. He totaled 23 tackles on the season with 8 tackles for loss and 4 sacks.

Reuben played mostly as a reserve defensive tackle this season. He appeared in 8 games and made 1 tackle.
