Former USC RB MarShawn Lloyd kept things simple for his family and followers with his transfer decision. Lloyd announced Friday afternoon a commitment to Southern Cal, the other USC. Lloyd announced his departure from the Gamecocks on December 12th and until Friday had made no mention about his future plans.

Lloyd was first thought likely to be headed to the University of Maryland, near his Delaware home and his high school, Dematha in Hyattsville, MD. But whatever interest there might have been there never played out.

Lloyd missed his first season at USC with a torn ACL, and he was hampered by injuries in his final season. He finished his USC career appearing in 20 games and rushing for 801 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also caught 21 passes for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns.
