#Clemson swats Yellow Jackets in Atlanta 79-66 (AUDIO)

Clemson fans caught up in the buildup to football signing day might not have noticed Wednesday night, but their men’s basketball team is now 2-0 in the ACC after defeating Georgia Tech in Atlanta 79-66. This is the 4th time in the last 26 years the Tigers have won their first two league games in a season. The Tigers have won six of their last seven and are 10-3 overall.

The game was tied at 14 with 12:53 to play in the first half, and the Tigers went on a 16-2 run over the next eight minutes to turn the game in their favor.

Clemson took a 40-26 lead into halftime and never let the Yellow Jackets get back into the game in the second half as they stretched their lead to as much as 23 points.

The Tigers shot 50% from the floor and made 12-13 from the line. They had 20 assists on their 31 baskets. Clemson also won the boards outrebounding Tech 40-28 and outscoring them in the paint 48-34.

PJ Hall had a monster game with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Hunter Tyson also had a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Brevin Galloway added 14 points and 5 assists.

The Tigers are off until December 30th when they face NC State at Littlejohn Coliseum for a 4:00 tip.
