Following a successful 3-0 homestand to open the season, the Coastal Carolina football team hits the road for a Thursday night showdown at Georgia State. Kickoff for the Sun Belt Conference opener is set for 7:30pm in Atlanta, with the contest being televised nationally on ESPN2. The Panthers picked up a 42-40 victory last season in Conway, keeping the road team undefeated in the five previous meetings of the series.
On Tuesday, CCU head coach Jamey Chadwell held his weekly press conference with the media to preview Coastal’s sixth ever matchup with Georgia State. Despite being 3-0, Chadwell was clear that his team needs to improve its play to have a chance to contend in the Sun Belt. He also discussed how much he enjoys road trips and the bonding opportunities those games present for his team.
