#STRecruiting: Swain still considering options after #Gamecocks visit

Vicari Swain

CB/WR Vicari Swain of Carrollton, GA said he had a very enjoyable weekend on his official visit at USC over the weekend. But he did not come out of the visit ready to make a decision. He has also seen Maryland and Vanderbilt and plans to take an official visit to Mississippi State during the season. Georgia Tech also is one of his options.

“It was good. I enjoyed myself,” Swain said Sunday afternoon. “I really liked hanging out with the players. I talked to a lot of the coaches, most coach (Torrian) Gray. They like me as a corner and receiver. I also talked with Coach Stepp. From what the players told me, the coaches are good at developing them.”

Swain also sat down with head coach Shane Beamer and came away impressed by him.

“Coach Beamer is outgoing, a passionate guy,” he said. “They connected with everybody, me and the others.”

The visit left the Gamecocks in strong contention.

“South Carolina is in my top five,” Swain said. “I’ll probably commit about two weeks before my season or few weeks into my season.”

Last season Swain had 55 catches for 855 yards and 8 touchdowns and 28 tackles with 6 interceptions.
