LB Jaden Robinson (6-1 215) of Lake City, FL has become a favorite of USC head coach Shane Beamer and defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Clayton White. He’s taken four visits to the school, including the Kentucky game last season and the spring game last month. White was by the school Tuesday and defensive ends coach Sterling Lucas checked in about two weeks ago.
Robinson is headed back to USC in June. He has scheduled one of his official visits with the Gamecocks for June 10th. He’ll get to see Beamer and White again that weekend. White has made it clear to him there’s a place waiting for him in the Gamecock locker room.
“Just come and be a part of them, be a part of the program,” Robinson said. “He said I can come in a be an inside backer, and on third down come down and blitz off the edge.”
Having seen the campus and the football facilities multiple times, Robinson already knows USC is a good opportunity for him.
“It’s great. Everything is a good fit,” Robinson said.
Robinson also has an official visit set with Maryland for June 24th. He’s also talking to Nebraska, Indiana, Mississippi State and Kentucky and good bit and could schedule some visits from that group.
Robinson is looking at a decision later this summer or early in his season, and what he’s looking for in a school is fairly simple.
“Just going somewhere where I can see myself being for four years,” Robinson said.
Some of Robinson’s other offers include Louisville, LSU, Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State and Tennessee. This spring he made other unofficial visits to Louisville, Florida State, Florida and USF.
