
Coastal Carolina grad transfer 6-6 PG Ebrima Dibba Wednesday announced a commitment to USC after the conclusion of his official visit with the Gamecocks. Dibba also made an official visit to Ohio after putting his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal. He’s the fourth transfer to commit to new USC coach Lamont Paris, and he gives the Gamecocks six commitments for the 2022 class.
The Gamecocks currently can count 10 players on their roster leaving three scholarships available.
Dibba is a native of Sweden who spent four seasons with the Chants including a redshirt season in 2020. This season he averaged eight points, five rebounds and five assists per game. He shot 46% from the floor, 34% from three, and 80% from the foul line. He led the Sun Belt Conference in assists this past season, averaging 5.6 per game. In a win over the Gamecocks in December, Dibba scored five points, grabbed six rebounds and handed out four assists. He was named to “The Basketball Classic” All-Tournament Team after leading the Chanticleers to the title game.
In his career at Coastal, Dibba played in 90 games and averaged eight points, five rebounds and five assists. He shot 45% from the floor, 32% from three and 79% from the line.
