Clemson’s offense ignited, Tuesday, racking up 15 hits in a 12-3 victory over Presbyterian College at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Leftfielder Tyler Corbitt sparked the onslaught, delivering a homer and three RBI.
The Blue Hose jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. The advantage was short-lived, however, as the Tigers put up crooked numbers in the second and third innings to take a 9-2 lead. Cooper Ingle and Blake Wright contributed RBI singles before Caden Grice led off the bottom of the third with his ninth homer of the season. Dylan Brewer joined the hit parade with a pair of doubles and a run-scoring single.
Clemson (27-14) has won eight of its last ten and seven straight non-conference games. The Tigers are right back at it with a home game against no. 22 Wofford at 4 p.m., Wednesday.
