Offense a no-show in #Clemson spring game (AUDIO)

The defense was as salty as ever in the Clemson spring game Saturday (TigerNet)

Clemson fans at Saturday’s spring game, estimated at 35,000 inside Death Valley, and thousands more watching on the ACC Network, no doubt were hoping to see a much-improved offense over last year’s group that ranked 100th nationally at 359 yards per game. However, that was not to be the case. The two teams combined for just 364 total yards and two touchdowns in a 15-7 White Team victory. .

Now, in defense of the offense, they were playing very shorthanded with several starting linemen, receivers and backs out. And the play-calling was vanilla. And the defense only had to touch the quarterback for a sack. And, oh yes, the Clemson defense remains at a very high caliber. But head coach Dabo Swinney said afterwards he is fully confident this offense will be very good, and DJ Uiagalelei will remain the starting quarterback.
