WR Christian Hamilton (6-0 175) of Harrisburg, NC is a national level recruit who cut his list down to a dozen school in January. Clemson and USC both made the cut. The others on the list were North Carolina, Penn State, Georgia, Purdue, NC State, Oregon, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Louisville and Wake Forest.
Hamilton visited Clemson last month and got the chance to visit with head coach Dabo Swinney and receivers coach Tyler Grisham.
“The visit went good. I liked it up there,” Hamilton said. “Just how there’s genuine love there. It’s not forced love. We just talked about more than just football, just life too. They’re up there.”
Hamilton visited USC last summer and was back for the Kentucky game last season. He will make another visit for the spring game April 16th. Hamilton has been in regular contact with head coach Shane Beamer and receivers coach Justin Stepp. Beamer tells him there’s a place for him in his program.
“Just how he needs me at South Carolina and how he can use me,” Hamilton said. “Just how they are changing the program up there. They are up there as well. I like Coach Beamer really. He stands out to me the most (about the program).”
Hamilton visited North Carolina in February and Florida last month. This month he is also planning to see Texas A&M and Georgia. He is eyeing his birthday, October 24th, for a commitment announcement.
Last season Hamilton caught 49 passes with 17 going for touchdowns, and he totaled 1277 all-purpose yards.
