Head coach Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks starting five addressed the media ahead of South Carolina´s Regional Final against Creighton. USC withstood a late charge in their Sweet Sixteen matchup against North Carolina, Friday, but held on for a 69-61 victory thanks to a stellar game from Aliyah Boston. Staley field multiple questions about Boston´s All-American career, dating back to her recruitment. Boston put up a monster stat line of 28 points and 22 rebounds against UNC, posting her 27th consecutive double-double along the way.
10-seeded Creighton is all that stands between South Carolina and another trip to the Final Four in Minneapolis. The Gamecocks and Creighton will tip at 7 p.m. in Greensboro, Sunday.
