#Clemson makes it a clean dozen on the diamond with 4-2 win over Michigan State (AUDIO)

Billy Barlow was perfect for 4.2 innings Wednesday night (Clemson Athletics)

Clemson extended its season opening winning streak to 12, and its overall winning streak to 13 dating back to last season, with a 4-2 win over Michigan State Wednesday night at Fluor Field in Greenville. The winning streak is Clemson’s longest since 2006.

The Tigers broke a 1-1 lead in the eighth when Max Wagner was hit by a 0-2 pitch with the bases loaded. The Tigers added another run in the eighth and one in the ninth on Spartan errors.

Billy Barlow started for Clemson and faced the minimum thru 4.2 innings. Reliever Jackson Lindley earned the victory (3-0) and Jay Dill pitched the ninth to earn his first save.

The Tigers will host Northeastern this weekend.
