One of the state’s top prospects for the 2024 class, QB Jaylen Bradford (6-1 175) of Chapin, announced Tuesday he is transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL to play for the Ascenders’ national team. Last season Bradford passed for 2028 yards and 22 touchdowns, and he rushed for 367 yards and 5 scores. Bradford’s offers include USC, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Penn State, Virginia Tech, NC State and Georgia State.
ATH Kaydon Sauers (6-6 230) of Crescent signed with North Greenville.
USC appears close to adding another in-state PWO prospect for the 2022 roster. OT Chase Sweigart (6-6 315) of Chapin said while he’s not yet made a complete decision, he is leaning toward taking the PWO offer from USC over ones from Auburn and Penn State. “I enjoyed talking to Coach (Shane) Beamer and Coach (Greg) Adkins on my visit. I am still weighing my options between Penn State and Auburn also, depending on Auburn’s staff.” Sweigart, who played in the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl, has several lower-level offers, but he has set his sights on playing at the P5 level.
USC reached into one of Clemson’s recruiting hotspots and offered DT Tomarrion Parker (6-4 255) of Phenix City, AL. The Tigers have not shown the same level of interest in Parker to this point though he visited and camped there last June. Parker has several other P5 offers including Texas A&M, North Carolina, Tennessee, Minnesota, Penn State, Kansas, Auburn, Georgia, Florida State and Arizona State. He plans to name a short list soon.
USC offered LB Cameron Lenhardt (6-3 240) of Staten Island and IMG Academy in Florida. Some of his other offers are Michigan State, Louisville, Penn State, Georgia Tech, Indiana and Arkansas.
Clemson is in the top 12 with SAF Braxton Myers of Coppell, TX. The others are Southern Cal, Arkansas, Texas, Auburn, TCU, Cal, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Florida State, Michigan and LSU.

Long and lanky frame with good athleticism and lots of room to add strength. Primary catcher with an easy set up and quick feet. Fast trigger with a very good arm. Soft hands with an accurate arm and a best recorded pop time of 1.95 seconds. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the outfield with throws up to 93 mph. Secondary right0handed pitcher with a long and loose arm stroke. Aggressive mechanics and mentality. Drop and drive lower half with whip to the arm.
