RB Keith Adams Jr. (5010 195) of St. George, UT, the son of former Clemson star linebacker Keith Adams, announced a commitment to Clemson early Wednesday morning and became the fifth Clemson legacy prospect to sign with the Tigers for the 2022 class. The other four…WR Cole Turner, DE Jahiem Lawson, LB Kobe McCloud and TE Josh Sapp had previously committed to the Tigers and also signed Wednesday morning.
Adams moved to Utah last summer after living in Canton, Georgia. Last season he rushed for 1376 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also caught 36 passes for 309 yards and 3 touchdowns. “If anybody gets in my way, I’m just going to run them over,” Adams said last season. “They said they liked my film and I’m like the most physical runner they’ve seen on film this year. I was telling them I’m ready to work and keep grinding.”
He also considered South Florida, Air Force and Marshall before deciding on Clemson where he visited officially last weekend.
Clemson’s original offer to Adams last year was for a grayshirt, but the way things were developing for this class, Dabo Swinney was able to change that to a regular scholarship offer effective immediately.
The Tigers are still waiting on announcements today from RB Andrew Paul, DT Caden Story and LB TJ Dudley.
