
The South Carolina women remain unbeaten in 2022 running their winning streak to four with a 65-45 win over Texas A&M Thursday night at the Colonial Life Arena. Aliyah Boston led the Gamecocks with her school record 10th straight double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds. She actually accomplished the feat in the first half with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Three other Gamecocks scored in double figures with Destanni Henderson adding 15 points and 5 rebounds.
USC led 26-24 at halftime and used a 21-10 third quarter to separate from the Aggies. The Gamecocks held the Aggies to 5-19 shooting in the quarter and forced 5 turnovers. They followed that up by limiting them to three baskets in the fourth quarter.
The Gamecocks gathered in 26 offensive rebounds and converted them into 31 second chance points. And they won in the paint 32-18.
USC is 16-1 overall and 4-1 in the SEC. With their win, they avenged an 8-point loss to the Aggies in College Station last year.
