#Clemson can’t find the mark in South Bend, falls to Notre Dame 72-56 (AUDIO)

Clemson suffered thru one of its worst shooting nights of the season Wednesday night at Notre Dame in a 72-56 loss. The Tigers shot 34% from the floor, their second lowest mark of the season. And a team that was third nationally in three-point shooting (40.9%) made just 6-32 (19%) from deep. The Irish had no such problems making 10 three-pointers and shooting 45% overall.

The Tigers scored the first basket of the game for their only lead. The Irish built a 17-point halftime lead and pushed it to 23 points in the second half. Clemson got no closer than 14 points the rest of the way.

PJ Hall led Clemson with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Dane Goodwin was spectacular for Notre Dame with 21 points on 8-10 shooting. Freshman guard Blake Wesley added 20 points.

The Tigers were attempting to win their third straight ACC road game for the first time in 25 years. Instead, they suffered their third league loss. They are 10-6 overall and 2-3 in the ACC and will host Boston College Saturday. Notre Dame extended its winning streak to six and is 10-6 and 4-1. The Irish will play at Virginia Tech Saturday.
