USC lost LB commitment Jaishawn Barham Wednesday morning when he opted to sign with Maryland. Barham was among the most highly regarded commitments in the Gamecocks’ class. He announced his commitment on Saturday, but Maryland never gave up the fight with him and convinced him to stay close to home. With Barham not signing, USC now has a total of 25 accounted for in their class.
Spring Valley QB/SAF DeQuandre Smith, who announced a commitment to USC last night, said he won’t sign until February 2nd.
