Top ranked USC claimed its fifth win over a ranked team Wednesday defeating 15th ranked Duke 55-46 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Gamecocks fell behind 3-0 then scored the next 16 points. They were never headed from there in the battle of unbeatens. The Gamecocks are now 11-0 and the Blue Devils are 8-1. Aliyah Boston led USC with 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks.
The Gamecocks shot just 32% for the game but dominated on the glass with 19 offensive rebounds they converted to 17 points.
USC next will face 3rd ranked Stanford in Columbia on Tuesday night in a rematch of one of last season’s Final Four games. The Cardinal won that game 66-65.
